Sharen Elaine Allen, 71

Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, Sharen Elaine Allen, 71, of Pinehurst, Idaho, passed away March 17, 2018 at the Shoshone Medical Center of Kellogg, Idaho.  She was born January 5, 1947 in Wallace, Idaho; Sharen was the daughter of John C. and Rosie (Hopkins) Boyd.

Sharen has lived in the Silver Valley all of her life.  She attended schools in Pinehurst and Kellogg.

Sharen married Robert “Bob” Allen on March 15, 1969 in Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho.

Sharen was a wonderful homemaker.  She had also worked at Barney’s Foods of Pinehurst for twenty years, before her retirement; she made Moose Brothers Pizza at the store and was affectionately known as “Mama Moose”.

Sharen was a member of the Kellogg Bowling League for thirty plus years and had also played softball in Pinehurst for several years.  She loved and adored her family especially her grandchildren, flower gardening, crafts, decorating and making the holidays special, camping, and loved watching the soap opera “The Young And The Restless on T.V.  Sharen was also a wonderful cook- especially her great meatloaf and Christmas candies.

Sharen is survived by her beloved husband of 49 years Robert “Bob” Allen of the family home of Pinehurst; six children Sam (Lani) Allen of Portland, Oregon, Bobby (Toni) Allen of Athol, Idaho, Carla (Tom) Harris of Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho, Roy (Dea) Grondin of Absarokee, Montana, Brian Grondin of Republic, Washington and Angela (Jim) Chambers of Ione, Washington; twenty-one grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren; three sisters Joyce Harvey of Spokane, Washington, Wanda Pool also of Spokane and Joan Church of Pinehurst, Idaho; one brother Roger (Neva) Edwards of Hayden, Idaho; she is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.  Sharen was preceded in death by her parents, her step-father Clarence Edwards, two sisters Vickie and Valerie, two granddaughters Reva and Mackenzie and one brother John Hilton.

Funeral Services will be held at the Silver Valley Worship Center of Smelterville, Idaho on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Corey Berti officiating.  Interment will be held at the Shoshone Memorial Gardens of Pinehurst.  A reception/luncheon will be held at the Church Fellowship Hall following services.

The family suggests that memorials may be made to the charity of the Donor’s choice.
