Phyllis “Phyd” Gail Ellingson, 88

Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Phyllis “Phyd” Gail Ellingson, 88, of Prichard/Murray, Idaho, passed away April 8, 2018 at the Advanced Health Care of Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho.  She was born June 20, 1929 in Smelterville, Idaho; Phyllis was the daughter of George and Clara “Belle” (Fleming) Boviall.

Phyd attended and graduated from the Kellogg-Wardner High School in 1947.  She had also attended the Sacred Heart X-Ray Technology school of Spokane, Washington.

Phyd married Albert “Al” Ellingson on May 5, 1951 in Kellogg, Idaho.

In her earlier years, Phyd had first worked at the Corner Drug of Kellogg at the lunch counter; she then went to work for the Ring Distributing Company as a distributor of records and tapes throughout North Idaho.  Phyd had lastly worked at the Doctor’s Clinic of Kellogg in the X-Ray Department for twenty plus years.

Phyd had enjoyed helping her dear friend, Anna Wilson with political elections.  She also loved and enjoyed her family, gardening and collecting anything Irish.  Phyd was a very special, loving and outgoing woman who loved socializing and visiting with family and friends; she will be dearly missed.

Phyd is survived by her beloved husband of 66 years Albert “Al” Ellingson  of the Prichard/Murray area; one daughter Gail (Royce) Peterson of Prichard/Murray; one son Jerry (Denise) Ellingson of Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho; four grandchildren Kelly Villegas of Ripon, California, Kerry Croston of Spokane, Washington, Jerred (Nicole) Ellingson of Coeur d’ Alene and Joseph Ellingson of Hayden, Idaho; eight great-grandchildren; she is also survived by several nieces and nephews.  Phyd was preceded in death by her parents and one sister Lorraine O’Reilly.

A Celebration of Phyd’s Life will be held and announced at a later date.

The family suggests that memorials may be made to Hospice of North Idaho, 9493 N. Government Way, Hayden, Idaho 83835.
