Anastasia Romanova, 80
Grand Duchess Anastasia Alexejevna Romanova aka Ellen Margarete Therese Adam, 80, of Saltese Montana, passed away April 2, 2018 at the Mineral Community Hospital in Superior, Montana. Anastasia was born on October 27, 1937 in Germany. She was a child survivor of WWII and was raised by foster parents Johannes Julius Paul and Ida Auguste Amalie Adam.
Anastasia grew up in Germany. She completed business school and worked as a district manager for Avon cosmetic in Bavaria before moving to the United States in 1969. In the United States she worked as home maker, bookkeeper and was an entrepreneur in Real Estate. In the late 1970’s she became an advocate for home birthing, had one of her own children at home, and helped many other women through the process. She lived the later part of her life as a snow bird migrating between her cabin in Montana and her beach place in Pass-A-Grille, Florida. In her free time, she enjoyed sewing, writing, traveling, nutrition and goats.
Anastasia is survived by her three children Christopher Miles Kailing, Angelika (End) Weber and Heidi (Buckland) Wada.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at 1:30 P.M. to 5:00P.M. (PST) at the Kellogg Funeral Chapel of Kellogg, Idaho. A Graveside Service will take place on April 6, 2018 at 2:30P.M. (MST) at the De Borgia Cemetery in De Borgia, Montana. Following the burial a Celebration of Life will be held at the De Borgia School House.
