Reverend William (Pastor Bill) Frank Keenan, 76, of Osburn, Idaho passed away on December 10, 2016 at Kindred Mountain Valley Health and Rehab in Kellogg. He was born on August 9, 1940 in Yonkers, New York; Bill was the son of Francis and Leona (Brown) Keenan.
Bill served in the U.S. Army from 1959-1963 and then the reserves until 1967. He attended Judson College in New Jersey and then on to Northern Baptist Seminary.
He was united in marriage to Phyllis Guthrie on April 17, 2004.
Bill served his Lord in many ways and places including Hawthorne Racetrack’s Sportsman’s Park in the Chicago area, Crow Reservation in Montana, churches in North Dakota, Wyoming, Oregon, and Idaho. He served as joint pastor at the UCC Congregational of Wallace and American Baptist Church of Osburn, his last church was the Wallace/Burke United Methodist Church in Wallace.
Bill enjoyed model trains, latch hook, photography and collecting Indian art.
Bill is survived by his wife Phyllis of the family home in Osburn; two step-daughters Amber Wood of Osburn, and Amanda (Kevin) Lind of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; one sister-in-law Carol Keenan of Yonkers, New York; and two grandchildren Gage and Khepri Wood of Osburn. He is also survived by many dear friends. William was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Robert Keenan.
Cremation will take place and upon Bill’s request, no services will be held.
