William “Bill” Lamar Bennett 79, of Osburn, Idaho, passed away March 17, 2015 at the Good Samaritan Society of Silverton, Idaho. He was born May 8, 1935 in Miami, Arizona; William was the son of Walter and Laurine (Hamer) Bennett.
Bill served in the Army in the 33rd infantry from 1954 through 1957.
On May 5th 1958, Bill was united in marriage to Louella Berreth in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho at the Hitching Post.
Bill was a miner; he worked for the Sunshine Mine and for the Bunker Hill Mining Co.
Bill loved spending his free time in the great outdoors, he enjoyed going hunting, fishing, four-wheeling, huckleberry picking and panning for gold. He also enjoyed old cars and airplanes of the WWI and WWII era. Bill enjoyed spending time with his family and loved them dearly.
Bill is survived by; three children Teresa (Penn) Weaver, of Moses Lake, Washington, Ken Bennett, of Boise, Idaho and Jeff (Terri) of Post Falls, Idaho; a sister Pat Arms of Helena, Montana and two brothers Joe Adams of Whitehall, Montana and Hank Adams, of Helena, Montana. He is also survived by two grandchildren Michael and Benjamin Uhl; six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Bill was proceeded in death by his parents and his wife Louella.
Cremation will be held and services will be announced at a later date.
