Wanda Ricksecker

Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother and sister, Wanda Lee Ricksecker, 79, of Wallace, Idaho, passed away November 1, 2014 at Kootenai Health of Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho. She was born August 24, 1935 in Newell, South Dakota; Wanda was the daughter of Foster “Bud” and Eva (Kirk) Wolfgram.

Wanda attended and graduated from the Mullan High School of Mullan, Idaho in 1954. She then served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict.

Wanda married William “Bill” Ricksecker on August 9, 1984 in Wallace, Idaho.

Wanda had worked at various banks as a teller. She had also served as manager of a candy factory/warehouse in West Virginia. And before her retirement, Wanda had worked as a receptionist for the Wallace Inn, for fifteen years.

Wanda loved and enjoyed her family, fossil, rock and old bottle hunting, reading, bowling and trips to the casino. She also enjoyed the outdoors especially camping.

Wanda is survived by her beloved husband William “Bill” Ricksecker of the family home of Wallace; six children Steve McPeters of Silverton, Idaho, Doug McPeters of Silverton, Gregg McPeters of Tennessee, James (Lisa) Bendoraitis of Illinois, George Bendoraitis of Illinois and Emily Perna of Illinois; seventeen grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and numerous great-great grandchildren; one sister Linda (Mike) Nottingham of Montana. Wanda was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter Kim Wright.

Memorial Services and A Celebration of Wanda’s Life will be held on Friday, November 7, 2014, at 11:00 A.M. at the United Church of Christ Congregational of Wallace, Idaho with Pastor Alice Ling officiating. A reception and a gathering of family and friends will be held at the Wallace Inn following services.

The family wishes to express their sincere thanks and appreciation to Kootenai Health and staff of the Oncology Ward, for their wonderful care shown to Wanda and the family.

The family suggests that memorials may be made to the Shoshone Cancer Resource Center, 204 Oregon Street, Suite J, Kellogg, Idaho 83837.
