Walter "Walt" Lee Sharp

Walter “Walt” Lee Sharp, 87, of Kellogg, ID, passed away peacefully at home on March 1, 2024. Walt was born on September 21, 1936 in Ketchum, OK, a son of the late Gilbert and Oma (Davis) Sharp.

Walt relocated to the Silver Valley to become a miner and worked at the Bunker Hill Mine. He married Jo Ellen Johnson on July 22, 195 in Coeur d’Alene, ID. Jo Ellen passed away on June 7, 2022. Walt and Jo Ellen raised three sons, Mike, Pat, and Tim.

After their boys were raised and out of the house, he and Jo Ellen traveled all over and enjoyed their retirement.

In addition to his parents, and wife, Jo Ellen, Walt is preceded in death by a son, Tim Sharp.

Survivors include his two sons, Mike Sharp of Nye, MT and Pat Sharp of Kellogg, ID; a grandson, Steven (Claudia) Sharp of Pinehurst, ID; a granddaughter, Amber Sharp of Montana; and a great-granddaughter, Hailee Sharp of Pinehurst, ID.

At his request, cremation has taken place and no services are planned at this time.
