Virginnia Phyllis Nearing formerly of the Silver Valley, passed away on October 2, 2016 in Twin Falls, Idaho. She was born on March 23, 1929 in Broken Bow, Nebraska; Virginnia was the daughter of George and Amanda (Hoyt) Hasting.

Virginia married Clyde Shock in 1947 and together they had five children; they later divorced. She married Chester “Bucko” Nearing and together they had two children. Virginnia was a homemaker raising her seven children and taking care of the family home. Virginnia enjoyed gardening and shopping and also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Virginnia is survived her children, Clyde “Bud” (Cas) Shock of Boulder City, Nevada, Juli Shock (Sandy McCullough) of Seattle, Washington, Scott (Janet) Shock of Boise, Idaho, Kerry (Judy) Shock of Vancouver, Washington, Patty (Jim) Richardson of Kingston, Idaho, Misty Nearing of Kellogg, Idaho and Christy (Danny) Hurst of Auburn, Washington; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Clyde, her second husband Bucko and her six siblings.

Cremation has taken place and no services will be held.
