Shirley Schierman

Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister, Shirley Louise Schierman, 76, of Osburn, Idaho, passed away May 2, 2014 at the Hospice House of Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho. She was born February 6, 1938 in Kellogg; Shirley was the daughter of Donald E. and Dorothy (McCoy) Wilson.

Shirley attended and graduated from the Kellogg High School of Kellogg in 1956. She has lived in the Silver Valley all of her life.

Shirley married Dan Schierman on August 1, 1981 in Kellogg.

Shirley had served as a legal secretary for the Shoshone County Prosecutors office for thirty-three years; she then went to work for Evans, Keane and Boyd Law Firm of Kellogg.

Shirley was a member of the St. Alphonsus Catholic Church of Wallace and a member of the Catholic Daughters of Kellogg.

Shirley loved and enjoyed her family and grandchildren, gardening, cooking and crocheting. She was always caring and giving to other people.

Shirley is survived by her beloved husband Dan Schierman of the family home of Osburn; two children Don (Noel) Morin of Boise, Idaho, Mike (Jenna) Morin of Wallace; one step-son John Schierman of Kingston; four grandchildren Taylor, Emma, Megan and Robbie; one step-grandson Matt Schierman; her sister Lois (Phil) Porter of Pinehurst, Idaho; she is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents and one sister Barbara Stoker.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, May 9, 2014 at 11:00 A.M at the St. Rita’s Catholic Church of Kellogg with Father Tom Loucks serving as Celebrant. A luncheon/reception will be held for family and friends at the Church Parish Center following services. Inurnment will be held at the Greenwood Cemetery of Kellogg.

The family suggests that memorials may be made to Hospice of North Idaho, 9493 Government Way, Hayden, Idaho 83835 or to the charity of the Donor’s choice.
