Sandra was born in Shreveport, Louisiana, but grew up in Hartsville, South Carolina. She was the daughter of the late Douglas Calvin Calvin Davis and the late Mattie Clarice Atkinson.
She started out by being a DJ at WHSC for many years. When she was done being a DJ, she started her own karaoke business called Sandy D’s. She spent many years going around giving many people their chance to show off their singing skills. Sandra was very family-oriented and made sure she was there for her kids and her closest friends.
Sandra lived in Idaho, where she and Dean spent many years living and loving each other. After many years in Idaho, Dean and Sandra returned to South Carolina to be surrounded by her family and friends. When she did become sick, she lived every day with dignity and fought each day on her porch with her loyal dog, Diva.
She is survived by her significant other, Dean Bouttu; her children, Leslie Dixon Elmore, Brandon Dixon, Larry Dixon, and Susan Dixon; grandchildren, Brooklyn V. Elmore, Ashton C. Elmore, and Riley E. Dixon; brothers, Robert Davis and Gene Quinley.
