Ronald (Ron) Lee Krusemark, 54, of Pinehurst, ID, passed away on January 14, 2024 at his home. Ron was born on December 24, 1969, in Livingston, MT. He was the youngest son of the late Jerry Linn Krusemark and Ila Mae (Shannon) Krusemark.
Ron graduated from Ennis High School and later obtained a bachelor’s degree from Montana Technological University in Butte, MT. Ron was a brilliant mining engineer, and over the years, he worked at underground and surface mines throughout the Silver Valley, Montana, the western United States, and internationally. He is known to the miners of the Silver Valley for standing up to and testifying against Hecla Mining in the case regarding Larry Marek’s untimely fatal injury.
Ron was a voracious outdoorsman. He spent his life in the mountains and rivers– hunting, fishing, skiing, exploring, and packing mules. He had a love for animals, especially his many good dogs. He was a natural storyteller; if you knew him, I’m sure you remember at least one of the stories he told you.
He married Caroline Jean Madill on June 20, 2020, in Ennis, MT.
Survivors include his wife, Caroline Krusemark of Pinehurst, ID; his son, Jack Krusemark of Bozeman, MT; daughter, Rian Krusemark of Evergreen, CO; brother, Jim Krusemark of Livingston, MT; sister, Patty (Steven) Covas of Queen Creek, AZ; two nephews, Ryan (Meg) Krusemark, and Cody Covas; three nieces, Brittney (Eddie) Hawley, Holly Covas, and Kory (Dave) Blickenderfer; as well as many extended family members and dear friends.
The impact of Ron’s loss is indescribable. He was fiercely loyal, deeply loving, passionate, funny, adventurous, intelligent, charming, and generous. He was compassionate, tender, and caring to his loved ones. Ron was extraordinary, and we love him.
Ron’s family will gather privately to celebrate his life at a later date.
Memories of Ron and messages of condolence are welcome and may be shared with his family online at www.shoshonefuneralservice.com. Shoshone Funeral Services, Kellogg, is assisting the Krusemark family with arrangements.
