Beloved husband, father, nephew and friend, Ronald “Ron” Dee Hickman, 68, of Wardner, Idaho, passed away October 12, 2015 at the Hospice House of Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho. He was born July 19, 1947 in Las Vegas, Nevada; Ron was the son of Gerald Judson and Glenda Lenore (Sargeant) Hickman.
Ron grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada; he attended and graduated from the Las Vegas High School. He then attended and graduated with a business degree from the University of Las Vegas.
Ron married Becky Williams on April 7, 1967 in Las Vegas.
Ron served in the construction business as an insulation superintendent for many years. The family moved to the Silver Valley twelve years ago. Ron, Becky and their daughter Rhonda owned and operated the Longshot Saloon of Kellogg, since moving to the valley.
Ron loved and enjoyed his family, hunting and fishing.
Ron is survived by his beloved wife Becky Hickman of the family home of Wardner; one daughter Rhonda Hickman of Wardner; his Aunt Virginia Richardson of Las Vegas, Nevada. Ron was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Glenn Hickman.
A Celebration of Ron’s Life will be held at the Longshot Saloon of Kellogg, in July of 2016; the day and time of the Celebration will be announced in the Shoshone News-Press.
The family suggests that memorials may be made to Hospice of North Idaho, 9493 N. Government Way, Hayden, Idaho 83835.
