Ronald Bruce Fuller

October 10, 1938 — July 13, 2024

Wallace, Idaho

Ronald Bruce Fuller was born on October 10, 1938, to George and Dorothy Fuller. He died on July 13, 2024, peacefully at Pacifica Senior Care in Pinehurst, Idaho. Throughout his childhood, Ron was “Murray’s Boy”, he enjoyed sharing his time, his fishing and hunting bounty with the fantastic elderly residence of that small community. Ron was an avid fisherman, hunter, hiker, and huckleberry picker.

Even as a young man, he provided game to many people throughout the year. Ron climbed the mountain ranges of North Idaho and knew them like the back of his hand. His favorite hiking destinations were Revette Lake, Blossom Lake, Upper Blossom, Granite Peak, and Sunset Peak. Ron was known as the Mountain Goat and enjoyed hiking until 2020.

Ron’s work career traversed more than 50 years. He began working before he graduated from high school for a small sawmill in Murray as a teenager. His career began at Burns-Yaak lumber mill in Eagle (Prichard) Idaho in 1956. He remained with that operation through it transition to Osburn, until it closed in 1976 when he began his career in the mining industry for Asarco at the Morning Shop in Mullan. Ron work in that position until he retired in 2000. He returned as a contract employee from 2002 to 2006 when he fully retired. He was then able to spend his days walking, hiking, fishing, hunting, sitting on the porch enjoying the property he loved, and picking huckleberries. From 2021 to May of 2024, Ron drove to Pinehurst every other day to spend time with the love of his life, Betty Jo, until her death in May.

Ron is survived by his son, Ron (Cindi) Fuller of Spokane, and daughter, Karlene (Eric) Dysland of Casper, Wyoming and his four grandchildren, Makenzy Dysland, Ryan Dysland, Shelbi Fuller, and Hannah Fuller. He is survived by his sister, Delores (Sissy) Burmeister, brother Gary (Bucko) Fuller and several nieces and nephews.

Ron is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jo, his parents George and Dorothy Fuller, sisters, Leila, Sharon, and Maryann.
