Ronald Milton Childs

Ronald “Ron” Milton Childs, 86, of Kellogg, ID passed away peacefully at his Kellogg home on July 18, 2024. Ronald was born on January 30, 1938 in Nampa, ID, a son of the late Bert Childs and Ruth (Roberts) Childs.

Ron moved to the Silver Valley to work as a miner. For many years he worked at the Hecla and Sunshine Mines. Ron married Merlita Bajura on May 24, 1995 in Cebu City, Philippines. Ron enjoyed being outdoors fishing and taking drives around the Silver Valley.

In addition to his parents, Ron is preceded in death by a son, Jesse; a brother, Alton; and a sister, Phyllis.

Survivors include his loving wife, Merlita Childs of Kellogg, ID; two daughters, Donna and Linda; a sister, Dyann; as well as several grandchildren.

A memorial service for Ron will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2024, 12:00 PM at St. Rita's Catholic Church, Kellogg.
