Rod Lee Fields, 62, of Pine Creek, passed away October 28, 2014 at the family home on Pine Creek. He was born May 11, 1952 in Vallejo, California; Rod was the son of Joseph Frederick and Dorothy Mae (King) Fields.

Rod attended and graduated from the Yreka High School of Yreka, California in 1970. He moved to the Silver Valley in 1977 from Fallon, Nevada.

Rod married Jackie Etherton on September 10, 1983 under the apple tree at the family home on Jim Otto Road, Pine Creek.

Rod worked as a concrete finisher for Concrete Unlimited for thirty-five years.

Rod was a member of the Staff House Mining Museum of Kellogg and the Pine Creek Beer and Gun Club. He loved and enjoyed his family, gardening, camping, riding four-wheelers. He loved all animals and spent many hours watching birds and doing projects around the family place.

Rod is survived by his beloved wife of thirty-one years, Jackie Fields of the family home of Pine Creek; one son Jeremiah (Trudi) Jordan of Onerahi, Northland, New Zealand; three grandchildren Annika and Aydin Jordan of Felton, California and Tarryn Geraghty of Onerahi, Northland, New Zealand; one brother Jack Fields of Kellogg, Idaho; (His Brady Family): brother Terry (Sharla) Brady of Pine Creek, brother Kris (Claudette) Brady of Pine Creek, sister Michelle (Ron) Lewis of Post Falls, Idaho; he is also survived and fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews and California cousins. Rod was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Dorothy Fields and Al and Delores Brady and brother, Scott Brady.

A Celebration of Rod’s Life will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2014 from 1:00 P.M. - 4:00 P.M. at the Pine Creek Tavern; everyone is welcome.

The family suggests that memorials may be made to the Staff House Mining Museum, 820 McKinley Ave. Kellogg, Idaho 83837 or to Hospice of North Idaho, 9493 N. Government Way, Hayden, Idaho 83835.
