Robert “Bob” Joe Michael, 88
Beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Robert “Bob” Joe Michael, 88, of Rawlins, Wyoming, passed away July 24, 2016 at the Hospice House of Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho. He was born July 3, 1928 in Bairoil, Wyoming; Bob was the son of Frank and Celia Irene (Braig) Michael.
Bob had lived in the Rawlins, Wyoming area all of his life. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.
Bob married Ruth Douglas on August 4, 1954 in Warmsutter, Wyoming; Ruth passed away in 2000.
Bob had first worked for the Wyoming Highway Department for forty-one years, retiring in December of 1986. He then managed the Sheep Creek Oil Field for a few years. Bob lastly had worked for his nephew’s company- Bartlett Oil Field Services, as a heavy equipment operator.
Bob loved and enjoyed his family, fishing, hunting and collecting arrowheads.
Bob is survived by his son Dan (Penny) Michael of Wallace, Idaho; two grandchildren Matt Michael (Becca Brown) and Shannon (Joe) Lenhard; two great-grandchildren Isabel and Ben Lenhard. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Ruth, two brothers and three sisters.
Graveside Services will be held and announced at a later date, at the Wyoming Memorial Gardens of Mills, Wyoming.
The family suggests that memorials may be made to the charity of the Donor’s choice.
