Robert “Bobby” Dale Walker, 69, of Gem, passed away January 12, 2014 at the Shoshone Medical Center of Kellogg. He was born August 9, 1944 at Burke; Bobby was the son of Everett and Violet (Monroe) Walker.
Bobby attended schools in Wallace and has been a life-long resident of the Silver Valley.
Bobby married Linda K. Stewart on February 27, 1965 at Wallace, Idaho; Linda preceded him in death on October 4, 2009.
Bobby had served as a miner and had mined at the Star Mine and the Lucky Friday Mine. He loved and enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, wood gathering and huckleberry picking.
Bobby is survived by his children Camie Walker of Gem, Kim (Joe) Ferry of Seattle, Washington and Robert Walker, Jr. of Gem; four grandchildren Brieanne Jennings, Courtney Jennings, Michael Ferry and Hannah Ferry; his sisters Eleanor Pratt of Hayden, Idaho, Violet Carrico of Wallace, JoAnne Ross of Smelterville, Idaho, Kate Stewart of Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho, Geraldine Elisoff Chavez of Wallace, Donna Lee Randall of Moab, Utah, Beverly Cornell of Boise, Idaho and Jerry Walker of Wallace; Bobby is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Linda, and several brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
Private Family Graveside Services will be held at the Nine Mile Cemetery of Wallace. And a potluck reception and a gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at the Wallace Elks; everyone is welcome and flannels and camo is encouraged.
The family suggests that memorials may be made to the charity of the Donor’s choice.
