Robert James Reynolds, 69, of Kellogg, ID passed away peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, May 25, 2024. Bob was born January 27, 1955, in Wallace, Idaho to Arthur Elton and Mary (Mackey) Reynolds.
Everyone who knew Bob knew that he was an incredible mechanic. His passion for cars started at a very young age. At 17 he purchased a 1960 Austin Healy 3000. That car was fast and fun and sparked a desire to learn all he could about engines and the mechanics of automobiles. He enjoyed fixing and restoring cars, but his real passion was anything Mopar. He was an avid car collector and could spend hours in his garage, or “talking shop” with the many friends he made while working in the mines. Many of those lifelong friends were made at the Galena. Bob spent many years working as a mine mechanic in several until retirement in 2020. Bob was a devoted husband, father, and friend and will be greatly missed by all those who knew him.
Bob is survived by his wife of 41 years Dedrah Block Reynolds; two children Jessica Ellington of Butner, NC, and Justin Reynolds of Kellogg, ID; two grandchildren Morgan and Ryan Ellington of Butner, NC; his brother Thomas “Tom” (Margaret) Reynolds of Osburn, ID, and sister Grace Huff of Spanaway, WA; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Reynolds and Mary Reynolds Bell; his baby sister, Mary Reynolds; and his brother, John Reynolds.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Bob’s life at the Wallace Elks, 419 Cedar St. Wallace, ID 83873 on Saturday, June 1, 2024, beginning at 1:30 pm.
