Our beloved son, brother and uncle, Robert “Bobalou” Louis Clausing, Jr. 49, of Kellogg, Idaho, passed away June 3, 2015 at Kootenai Health of Coeur d‘ Alene. He was born March 22, 1966 in Hammond, Indiana; Bobby was the son of Robert Clausing Sr. and Betty (McNeil) Simmerman.
Bobby moved to the Silver Valley in 1997 from California. Bobby loved living in Idaho, he enjoyed the great outdoors and everything it had to offer. He loved watching for bald eagles and taking trips to the coast. While on his trips to the coast they always had to stop in Bellingham to get a Wiener schnitzel and an A&W Root beer, two of his favorite things. Bobby could be found on Sundays routing for his favorite football team the Dallas Cowboys.
Bobby loved spending time with his family especially his nieces and nephews. He was very proud to be an uncle. He enjoyed playing board games with them and playing practical jokes on them.
Bobby is survived by his mother Betty Simmerman of Kellogg, Idaho; his two sisters Carla (Jesse) Story of Pinehurst, Idaho and Catherine (James) Pearson of Boston, Massachusetts; his two brothers Jeremy (Elise) Smith of Sandpoint, Idaho and Bret Clausing Sr. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews Alexus Hiatt, Sarah Risley, Autumn Risley, Katie Smith, Rebecca Smith, Jesse Jr. Story, Logan Pearson, Chloe Pearson, Eathan Pearson and several other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother Brian Clausing, his nephew JJ Smith and uncle Billy Houghteling.
A Funeral Service will be held at the Kellogg Funeral Chapel with Pastor Gene Jacobs officiating on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. with burial taking place at Greenwood Cemetery, Kellogg, Idaho.
The family suggests that attendees wear blue in Bobby’s honor (his favorite color).
