Beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother, Robert “Bob” Lee Bowles, 72, of Osburn, Idaho, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on December 23, 2014 at the family home of Osburn. He was born March 20, 1942 in Burley, Idaho; Bob was the son of John and Laura (Gibson) Bowles.
Bob married Beverly Keith on September 27, 1965 in Vancouver, Washington. Bob, Beverly and family moved to the Silver Valley in 1974 from Portland, Oregon.
Bob had first worked in the shipyards of Portland, Oregon. He then served in carpentry and painting in construction. And after moving to the Silver Valley, he served as a guide in hunting.
Bob loved and enjoyed hunting and fishing until he could no longer do so, due to muscular dystrophy. But most of all, Bob loved and enjoyed his children and grandchildren; he was a great role model and a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend.
Bob is survived by his beloved wife of forty-nine years Beverly Bowles of the family home of Osburn; three children Tina (Randy) Melton of Kellogg, Idaho, Bobby (and his companion Candice) Bowles, Jr. of Wallace, Idaho and Angela (Fabian) Ramos of Tulsa, Oklahoma; two children Jesse and Tara Lynn from a previous marriage; nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; Bob is also survived by seven brothers and sisters and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers and sisters.
Because of the time of year, A Celebration of Bob’s Life will be held in the Spring and will be announced in the Shoshone News-Press.
The family suggests that memorials may be made to Hospice of North Idaho, 9493 Government Way, Hayden, Idaho 83835.
