Richard “Dick” Manley Deahn, 95

Beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend, Richard “Dick” Manley Deahn, 95, of Kellogg, Idaho, passed away January 16, 2017 at the Kindred Nursing & Rehabilitation - Mountain Valley of Kellogg.  He was born May 15, 1921 in Edgerton, Alberta, Canada; Dick was the son of Richard and Mary (Kumpla) Deahn.

Dick attended and graduated from the Clatskanie High School of Clatskanie, Oregon.  He then attended the Oregon State University and the Vanport College of Vanport, Oregon.

Dick served in the U.S. Navy during WW II.

Dick married Marjorie Jean Brammer on August 18, 1946 in St. Helens, Oregon; Marjorie passed away in 2009.

Dick and Marjorie moved to the Silver Valley in 1966 from St. Helens, Oregon.

Dick was owner and operator of Dick Deahn Volkswagon of Kellogg for several years.  He continued in the automobile industry in the Coeur d’ Alene and Spokane areas, finishing his career in the RV business.

Dick was a former member of the Kellogg Elks #1841 and a member of the Kiwianis Club.

Dick loved and enjoyed visiting with family and friends, Rving and camping.

Dick is survived by three children Nancy Welliver of St. Helens, Oregon, Richard (Marlys) Deahn of Osburn, Idaho and Steve (Cheryl) Deahn of Beavercreek, Oregon; his grandchildren Shane (Casey) Welliver, Ryan (Erin) Deahn, Michelle (Jeremy) Hiaasen, Nathan Deahn, Melissa Deahn and Elizabeth (Craig) Paulin; fourteen great-grandchildren; one sister Georgine Williamson of St. Helens, Oregon; long-time friend Randy (Jane) Thomas of Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho; Dick is also survived by several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Marjorie.

Graveside services will be held at the Wihelm Portland Memorial Mausoleum of Portland, Oregon.
