Rhonda Kathleen Gunderson

Rhonda K. Gunderson, 73, of Pinehurst, ID, passed away surrounded by loved ones on June 19, 2023 at the Schneidmiller Hospice House in Coeur d’Alene, ID. Rhonda was born on March 06, 1950 to Rosella and Ralph Thompson of Wallace, ID.

Rhonda married Darrell Gunderson 08/15/1970. Rhonda had 3 sons Curt, Mike and Rob. Rhonda loved to cook and worked at several restaurants in the Silver Valley before becoming the dietician manager for Mountain View nursing home in Kellogg. Rhonda retired after 20 years of service.

Rhonda enjoyed laughing and spending time with family. Cooking, gardening and of course dancing were some of her favorite hobbies.

Rhonda is preceded in death by her husband, Darrell; her parents, Ralph and Rosella; and a brother, Tony.

She is survived by her life partner of 15 years Jim, McOuat; a brother Dick (Judy); a sister, Rosalynd (Eric); three sons, Curt (Michelle), Mike (Flo), and Rob (Kenna); six grandchildren, Richard, Austyn, Rylie, Dylan, Brayden and Bryce.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, July 1, 2023, 2:00 PM at Shoshone Funeral Services in Kellogg. There will be a celebration of Rhonda’s life at the Kellogg Elks after a brief family graveside service at Greenwood Cemetery in Kellogg.
