Peggy Morris

December 21, 1946 — March 15, 2015


Beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend, Peggy Louann Morris, 68, of Kingston, Idaho, passed away March 15, 2015. She was born December 21, 1946 in Sandpoint, Idaho; Peggy was the daughter of Roy and Lelia (Finley) Nickerson.

Peggy has lived in the Silver Valley for most of her life. She attended and graduated from the Kellogg High School. Peggy also attended the North Idaho College.

Peggy was owner and operator of the Country Lane Resort of Kingston for fifteen years.

Peggy was a member of the Bed and Breakfast Association, a member of ATV Clubs, a member of the Historic Wallace Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Historic Silver Valley Chamber of Commerce. She was very community oriented and had supported and hosted many community events and fund raisers.

Peggy loved and enjoyed her family and friends, floating the river, performing magic tricks and playing games with her customers. She was a natural entertainer with her outgoing personality, her wonderful sense of humor and welcoming smile. Peggy was a hard worker, very ambitious and lived life to its fullest. She was very kind-hearted and treated everyone like family.

Peggy is survived by two daughters Tracie Hauser and John Stacy of Newman Lake, Washington and Kelly (Dale) Jacobs of Kellogg, Idaho; four grandchildren Lindsey and Trevor Moles, Taylor (Brandy) Jacobs and Britney Jacobs; her father Roy Nickerson of Kingston; one sister Bella (Fred) Hussey of Kingston, Idaho; two brothers Jerry Nickerson and Glen Nickerson both of Kingston; she is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Peggy was preceded in death by her mother Lelia Nickerson and one sister Martha.

A Celebration of Peggy’s Life will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at 12:00 Noon, at the Country Lane Resort of Kingston; this will be potluck and a no host bar with Peggy’s favorite drink- a gin and tonic, served at a special price.

The family suggests that memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospital For Children, 911 W. Fifth Ave., Spokane, WA. 99204.
