Beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother, Patrick Wallace Dunphy, 83 of Wallace, Idaho, passed away August 28, 2014 at the Hospice House of Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho. He was born July 22, 1931 in Seattle, Washington; Patrick was the son of Michael William and Nellie Marie (Gray) Dunphy.

Patrick attended and graduated from the Wallace High School in 1949; he then attended the University of Idaho and the Spokane Technical Vocational School.

Patrick served as a Corporal in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.

Patrick has lived in the Silver Valley for most of his life. He married Joyce Lovelace on September 30, 1972 in Wallace, Idaho. Joyce and Patrick would have celebrated their 42nd wedding anniversary at the end of September.

Patrick worked for the Hecla Mining Company after High School. He then went to work for Boeing of Seattle as an Electronic Inspector. Pat then traveled to Alaska and served as a Radar Tech. He moved back to the Silver Valley and worked in the electric shop for the Hecla Mining Company in Burke, as a Journeyman Electrician at the Star Mine for twelve years. Pat, lastly had worked at the Luck Friday Mine, as a Supervisor for the Electrical Department for fourteen years. He retired in December of 1991. After retirement, Pat served as a part-time electrician for the Shoshone Medical Center of Kellogg.

Pat was a member of the Wallace Elks #331 and a member of the United Church Of Christ Congregational of Wallace.

Pat loved and enjoyed his family, camping and Rving, traveling, hunting, fishing and genealogy work.

Patrick is survived by his beloved wife Joyce Dunphy of the family home of Wallace; five children Elayne (David) Semko of Wallace, Elise (Mike) Passmore of Cathlamet, Washington, Ron Bechtold of Spokane, Washington, Robyn (Dave) Kokot of Spokane and Jana Gallina of Hillsboro, Oregon; ten grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; one sister Rita (Clifford) Dress of Sidney, Nebraska; he is also survived by five nieces and one nephew. Pat was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2014, at 1:00 P.M. at the United Church Of Christ Congregational of Wallace with Rev. Alice Ling officiating. A reception and a gathering of family and friends will be held in the Church Fellowship Hall following services. Inurnment will be held at the Nine Mile Cemetery of Wallace.
