Patricia “Pat” Strickland Proctor, 76, of Pinehurst, Idaho, formerly of Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2017, at Shoshone Medical Center in Kellogg, Idaho. Pat was born August 4, 1940, in St. George, Utah, to William “Bill” and Elva Strickland. Pat is survived by her husband of fifty-seven years, Max Proctor, daughter Teresa (Richard) Jervis of Kanapolis, North Carolina, and son Robert (Delilah) Proctor of Las Vegas, Nevada, and grand-daughter, Faith Proctor, along with brother Bill (Janet) Strickland, sisters Charlene Leavitt and Mary Sorden, and brother-in-law Charles “Chuck” Minniear. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Elva, sisters Lucille Isom and Judi Minniear, as well as brothers-in-law Jack Isom, Ned Leavitt, and Bob Sorden. Pat graduated from high school in St George, where she met Max. They were married in 1960. They lived in Panguitch, Utah (1960-1963), Las Vegas, Nevada (1963 -2004), and Pinehurst, Idaho (2004-2017). Pat was active with the Boy Scouts of America for several years and received her Wood Badge Beads and the Silver Beaver award. She worked as a teacher’s aide with the Clark County School District (Nevada), where she helped with the mentally handicapped children. She enjoyed needle point and crocheting. Services will be held in the Panguitch 2nd Ward Chapel in Panguitch, Utah, 178 North 400 East, on March 18, 2017. A viewing will start at 11AM and be followed by the memorial service. Interment will follow at the Panguitch Cemetery. The family wishes to thank the doctors and nurses at Shoshone Medical Center, as well as the Kindred Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Kellogg, Idaho, for their care and dedication while tending to Pat during her last months, as well as Shoshone Funeral Services in Kellogg, Idaho, and Magleby Mortuary in Richfield, Utah for their assistance with the remains.
