Beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather and uncle, Olis “Joe“ Beck, 84, of Coeur d‘Alene,  Idaho, passed away August 20, 2016 at Shoshone Medical Center in Kellogg. He was born August 14, 1932 in Ava, Missouri; Joe was the son of Everett and Mildred (Martin) Beck.

Joe worked as an assistant manager for a construction company; he worked on many impressive projects, one of which was helping build the third largest dam in Venezuela. Joe also worked in many of the mines in the Silver Valley and was known by many as “Big Joe“. Joe was united in marriage to Andrea Rosario on September 17, 1984; they moved to the Silver Valley in 1996 from Arizona. Joe and Andrea moved to Coeur d’Alene two years ago.

Joe was an avid outdoorsman; he enjoyed hunting and ATVs. He also enjoyed singing and playing the guitar, having a good time, and picking huckleberries and blackberries.

Joe is survived by his beloved wife, Andrea Beck; his son Jerry (Annie) Beck; his daughter Donna Petito; his sisters Betty Priest and Wilma O’Donahue and his brothers Billy Stewart and Delbert Beck. Joe is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers Harold Beck and Phillip LeBlanc Jr.; and his sons David and Kenneth Beck.

A private family service was held. A celebration of Joe’s life will be held at a later date, to be announced.
