Norma Pherigo

Beloved grandmother and great-grandmother, Norma E. Pherigo, 98, of Kellogg, Idaho, passed away March 8, 2014 at the Mountain Valley Care & Rehabilitation of Kellogg. She was born April 11, 1915 in Neck City, Missouri; Norma was the daughter of Roy and Debbie (Duvakk) Hendry.

Norma married James “Jim” Pherigo on November 5, 1938 in Los Angeles, California. Norma and Jim moved to the Silver Valley in 1939.

Norma was owner and operator of a floral shop in Kellogg for many years. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, a member of the Pinehurst Golf Course and a member of the St. Rita’s Catholic Church of Kellogg.

Norma loved and enjoyed golfing, cross word puzzles and reading.

Norma is survived by her grandson James (Kaitlin) Hogan of Kellogg; her great-grandson Abel Hogan of Kellogg; her special friend Diane Hogan of Kellogg; a niece Sharon Vanderwinkel of New York. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jim in 1989, her son John “Jack” Pherigo.

Cremation was held and Inurnment will be held at the Greenwood Cemetery of Kellogg.
