Beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother, Morris “Buck” Neil White, 79, of Kellogg, Idaho, passed away August 9, 2014 at the Shoshone Medical Center of Kellogg. He was born February 19, 1935 in Kellogg, Idaho. .
Buck has lived in the Silver Valley all of his life. He attended the Kingston High School. Buck served in the U.S. Navy.
Buck married Marie J. Weppler on June 29, 1956 in Osburn, Idaho; Marie passed away on September 12, 1997.
Buck had served as an agent for the Union Pacific Railroad for nearly forty years. And after retirement, he served as a driver and a deliverer of cars for Dave Smith Motors of Kellogg.
Buck was a member of the American Lutheran Church of Kellogg and a member of the Kellogg Elks #1841.
Buck loved and adored his family. He was a big sports fan- an avid New York Yankees fan, he also enjoyed the Gonzaga Bulldogs, the WSU Cougars and the University of Washington Huskies; Buck also had a great interest in trains and their history. He loved making his rounds having coffee or a beer with his many beloved friends. Buck with his sweet soul and spirit, was so loved by his family and many friends; he will be so very much missed.
Buck is survived by three children David (Fran) White of Sohar, Sultanate of Oman; Randall White of Sydney, Ohio; and Michelle White of Spokane, Washington; three grandchildren Stephanie White, Thomas White and Brandon White; two great-grandchildren Lincoln Morris Alan White and Olivia Junker; his brother George (Joanne) White of Kingston, Idaho. Buck was preceded in death by his mother Lillie White, one daughter Debbie White, his wife Marie and several brothers and sisters.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, August 15, 2014, at 10:00 A.M. at the American Lutheran Church of Kellogg with Rev. Owen Derrick officiating. A luncheon and a gathering of family and friends will be held in the Church Fellowship Hall following services; everyone is welcome. Then following the luncheon, a graveside service will be held at 1:30 P.M. at the Coeur d’ Alene Memorial Gardens of Coeur d’ Alene. A viewing/visitation will be held on Thursday evening, August 14th from 6:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. at the Kellogg Funeral Chapel.
