Michael Seymour

October 25, 1995 — February 25, 2018

Michael Adrian Seymour, 22

Michael Adrian Seymour, just 22, departed from his family and friends February 25, 2018.  Michael was born October 25, 1995 in Kellogg, Idaho.  He is the oldest of five children.  Michael is survived by his parents Ray and Sara Seymour of Mullan, Idaho, sister Kelsey (20), brother Jonny (13), sister Emma (5) and brother Daniel (3); grandparents Gary and Genie Seymour of Bend, Oregon (formerly of Kellogg, Idaho) Adrian and Marsha Shuler of Pinehurst, Idaho; and several friends that were family to Michael.

Michael is a member of the Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  His friend Kyle Jaster, more like a brother, said about him “Michael has a heart of gold.”  One time he stopped along the road after seeing a stranded family broken down; he piled them in his vehicle and drove 200 miles out of his way to their home in Grangeville, Idaho.  There are many more stories just like this.

Michael was in the National Guard in Fallon, Nevada with his friend Wes Green.

Michael was in a hurry to get out of high school and start working, so at 16 he earned his GED.  He started working for OTTS Machine in Fallon, Nevada.  Michael’s last job was at BANDZ in Smelterville for Cliff Marshall.  He was lead operator at this company.  Stacy, which has worked there for 26 years, said Michael was the best worker on the machine that they have ever had on the machines.

Michael’s passion was four-wheeling; he loved anything with an engine- he’d rev up the motor as loud as possible- you always knew where he was.  He so enjoyed riding with his friend Taylor Thompson and with his dad Ray.  Michael was a fabulous mechanic and could fix any vehicle.  One of his first jobs was putting in a transmission into a semi-truck; his knowledge included working on anything from tractors to semi’s.  Michael left an impression on anyone he met.  He enjoyed playing video games with his little brother Jonny and spending time with all of his siblings.  In his short 22 years of life, he has lived in many towns and cities.  His favorites were Mancos, Colorado; Elko Nevada; Winnemucca, Nevada and Fallon, Nevada.

Michael had a favorite scripture in Doctrine & Covenants 59:23 “But learn that he who doeth the works of righteousness shall receive His reward even peace in this world and eternal life in the world to come.”

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. at the Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints, 903 S. Division Street Pinehurst, Idaho.

The family suggests that memorials may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (in honor of Scotty Lee, son of James and Paula Lee of Dalton Gardens) P.O. Box 1000 Dept. 142, Memphis, Tennessee 38101-9908.

Michael would remind his mom she needed to “Cowboy Up” on hard days or any other person needing strong encouragement.  You’ve “Cowboyed Up” Michael and teaching the rest of us exactly what that means.
