Maxine Mae Anderson, 86
Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, Maxine Mae Anderson, 86, of Kellogg, Idaho, passed away March 22, 2016 at Kindred Mountain Valley Care & Rehabilitation of Kellogg. She was born November 22, 1929 in Grafel, South Dakota; Maxine was the daughter of Carl and Olive (Davis) Spencer.
Maxine attended and graduated from the Hayden High School of Hayden, Idaho. She moved to the Silver Valley in 1949.
Maxine had served as a cook and dietitian at the West Shoshone Hospital for fourteen years. She had also worked at various restaurants throughout the Silver Valley.
Maxine was a member of the Grandmother’s Club, a member and past president of the Osburn V.F.W. #1675 Ladies Auxiliary; she had also served as the Idaho State President of the Ladies V.F.W. Auxiliary and had attended many national conventions.
Maxine loved and enjoyed her family, friends, crocheting- she made special afghans for her family, ceramics, cooking and baking. Maxine was a wonderful mother and a very busy and hard-working woman, who will be dearly missed.
Maxine is survived by one daughter Gail (Harold) Stillwell of Kellogg, Idaho; five grandchildren Lori Schierman of Pinehurst, Idaho; John Schierman of Kingston, Idaho; Shannon Burkhart of California; Kevin Anderson of California and Richard Anderson of New York; eight great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren with one on the way; her daughter-in-law Pamela Anderson of California. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, one son Gary Anderson, four sisters and two brothers.
The family wishes to express their sincere thanks and appreciation to the staff of Kindred Mountain Valley Care & Rehabilitation for the wonderful care and love that was shown to Maxine.
Memorial Services will be held on Monday, March 28th, 2016, at 1:00 P.M. at the Kellogg Funeral Chapel of Kellogg with Ben Sheppard officiating.
