Mary “Joanne” Strope, 71, of Osburn, Idaho, passed away June 13, 2015 at Kootenai Health of Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho. She was born September 3, 1943 at the Providence Hospital of Wallace, Idaho; Joanne was the daughter of Lloyd and Dorothy (Weniger) Strope.
Joanne attended schools in Wallace and has lived in the Silver Valley all of her life.
Before her retirement, Joanne had served as a night desk clerk at the Wallace Inn of Wallace.
Joanne loved and enjoyed spending time with her family, bingo, being on her computer and so very much loved her animals.
Joanne is survived by one brother Gary (Mary Jo) Strope of Hayden, Idaho; one sister Linda McKnight of Missoula, Montana; one daughter Pam Richardson of Wesson, Mississippi; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews including Jill Ross of Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews including Josh Ross of Kellogg and Amanda Ross of Kellogg. Joanne was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Jimmy and Larry; a sister Marlene and a twin sister Marianne Holling.
Cremation will be held and Private Family Services will be held.
