Mary Shepherd

Beloved grandmother, great-grandmother and sister Mary Lucille Shepherd, 79, of Pinehurst, Idaho, passed away March 9, 2015 at the Hospice House of Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho. She was born August 25, 1935 in Sharon Grove, Kentucky; Mary was the daughter of Richard A. and Princie E. (Shanklin) Fisher.

Mary grew up in the Sharon Grove/Elkton, Kentucky area. She married Charles A. Shepherd on February 19, 1971 in Lowell, Arizona. They moved to the Silver Valley in March of 1971 from Arizona.

Mary spent time working as a waitress and was a homemaker. She was a member of Pinehurst Baptist Church and the Lady Lions Club of Pinehurst.

Mary enjoyed reading the bible, knitting, crocheting, baking and spending time with her family.

Mary is survived by her granddaughter Sharon Caldwell of Pinehurst, Idaho; her brother Jack Fisher and sister Sylvia Mullen both of Elkton, Kentucky; her beloved great-grandchildren Jordan and Meagan Tryon of Pinehurst; and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her daughter Rebecca and her son Anthony Caldwell.

Cremation will take place and a Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at the Kellogg Funeral Chapel of Kellogg with Pastor Don White officiating. A reception and gathering of family and friends will be held at the Pinehurst Baptist Church (the Pinehurst Lions building) at 1:00 P.M.; this will be a potluck.
