Mary Ellen Murray, 65

Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, Mary Ellen Murray, 65, of Mullan, Idaho, passed away May 31, 2016 at Hospice House South of Spokane, Washington.  She was born February 24, 1951 in Wallace, Idaho; Mary was the daughter of James and Flora (Anderson) Harlan.

Mary has lived in the Silver Valley all of her life.  She attended and graduated from the Wallace High School.

Mary married Gerald P. “Jerry” Murray on April 13, 1983 at the Christian Life Center of Kellogg.

Mary had first worked for various banks in the Silver Valley.  She then worked for the South Fork Sewer District for the last thirty years.

Mary was a member of the Wallace Elks #331, a member of the Business And Professional Womens’ Club and a member of the Mullan Womens’ Bowling League.  She also had attended the Emmanuel Lutheran Church of Mullan.

Mary loved and enjoyed her family, friends, and visiting with people; she was very social.  Mary also enjoyed golfing, fishing, reading, gardening and dancing.  In her younger years, she had also enjoyed snow skiing.

Mary is survived by her beloved husband Jerry Murray of the family home of Mullan; three children Danielle McLain of Liberty Lake, Washington, Jonnie (Brad) Huston of Spokane Valley, Washington and Matt (Katie) Murray of Mullan; six grandchildren Mercedes, Maci, Payton, Justis, Ayden and Alivia; one great-grandchild Santiago; one sister Jeannie (Gary) Boyer of Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho; Mary is also survived by several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2016, at 2:00 P.M. at the Kellogg Funeral Chapel of Kellogg, Idaho.  A reception and a gathering of family and friends will be held at the Wallace Elks at 3:00 P.M.; this will be potluck and everyone is invited.

The family suggests that memorials may be made to the Friends Of The Mullan Library, P.O. Box 479, Mullan, Idaho 83846.
