Marion Wright

Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Marion Louise Wright, 90, of Kingston, Idaho, passed away July 4, 2014 at the Shoshone Medical Center, of Kellogg. She was born July 2, 1924 at the family farm in French Gulch of Kingston, Idaho.

Marion attended and graduated from the Kingston High School. She then attended the Lewiston Normal School; after graduating she began her teaching career. She later went back to school and graduated from Eastern Washington University in 1960 with a bachelors degree in Education.

On February 26, 1944 Marion was united in marriage to Elmer Wright in Kingston, Idaho.

Marion loved teaching children; she taught elementary school in Kingston and Pinehurst for 30 years.

Marion was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church, of Pinehurst, Idaho. She also belonged to ODO “Our Day Out,” Good Samaritan Camper Club, Desert Lilly Quilters and the Red Hat Ladies.

Marion enjoyed spending her free time cooking, quilting, gardening and camping on Lake Coeur d’Alene. After retirement Elmer and Marion explored the country side in their RV.

Marion is survived by her beloved husband of 70 years Elmer of the family home of Kingston, Idaho; two children Johnnell (Chris) Bitterman, of Post Falls, Idaho and Dennis (Amy) Wright of Cataldo, Idaho; she is also survived by four grandchildren John (Missy) Wright, Michael (Loretta) Wright, Brian Putnam and Francine (Justin) Smith. She is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren. Marion was proceeded in death by her parents.

Cremation will be held and a memorial service will take place on Friday, July 11, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. at Our Savior Lutheran Church, of Pinehurst, Idaho with Rev. Ken Bartle officiating.
