Lucille Morris

Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, Lucille Alice Morris, 72, of Wardner, Idaho, passed away January 14, 2015 at the family home of Wardner. She was born September 22, 1942 in Billings, Montana; Lucille was the daughter of Alexander and Viola (Bischke) Sprankle.

Lucille attended schools in Post Falls, Idaho. She married Walter “Walt” Morris on September 3, 1966 in Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho. Lucille and Walt moved to the Silver Valley in 1990 from Columbus, Montana.

Lucille was a homemaker. She had also served as an excellent seamstress for the Lelook Company of Spokane, Washington, the Silver Needle of the Silver Valley, and other companies.

Lucille loved and enjoyed her family, watching the birds in her backyard and was an avid reader. She was the perfect Grandma- helping the grandchildren plant flowers, having tea parties and preparing her wonderful jellies, jams and cookies.

Lucille is survived by her beloved husband of forty-eight years Walt Morris of the family home of Wardner; four children Kristine Harr of Wardner, Idaho, Penny Buffington of Spokane, Washington, Debbie Buffington of Wardner, Idaho and David Morris of Spokane, Washington; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; two brothers Jerry Sprankle of Spokane, Washington and Steve Sprankle of Bayview, Idaho; one sister Dorothy Gardner of Virginia; she is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Lucille was preceded in death by her parents.

Cremation will be held and a private family gathering will be held at a later date.
