Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, Loyce Leana Johnston, 77, of Silverton, Idaho, passed away on December 30, 2015 at the Silver Wood Good Samaritan in Silverton, Idaho. She was born February 19, 1938 in Vandervort, Arkansas. Loyce was the daughter of Herbert and Etta (White) Arthur.
Loyce moved with her family to the Silver Valley in 1940 from Arkansas.
She attended Mullan High School and graduated in 1956.
On December 31, 1956, Loyce was united in marriage to James “Sonny” Johnston in Kellogg, Idaho. James passed away in 1989.
Loyce worked as a C.N.A at the Silver Wood Good Samaritan for eight years. She had also worked as a clerk at Garitone’s Grocery Store in Mullan. When Loyce wasn’t working, she enjoyed traveling and doing jig saw puzzles.
Loyce is survived by her three children, Debra Johnston of Spokane, Washington, Tracy Johnston of Spokane, Washington and Kimberly Johnston of Spokane, Washington; twin sister Joyce (Marvin) Graham of Walla Walla, Washington. She is also survived by nine grandchildren Amber Hyde, Christopher Hyde, Kelly Johnston, Timothy King, Brandy Miller, Brady Miller, Alicia Johnston, Amanda Johnston and Kira Johnston; two great-grandchildren Katherin Hyde and Tristan Hyde and by numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James, her sister Alma and her two brothers Edward and Ervin.
Cremation will take place and a memorial service will be held on Saturday January 9th 2016, at 1:00PM at the Silver Wood Good Samaritan in Silverton, Idaho with Pastor Art Fleming Officiating.
