Loretta Ward

Beloved mother, grandmother and sister, Loretta Jo Ward, 61, of Pinehurst, Idaho, passed away July 16, 2014 at her home. She was born August 9, 1952 in Lincoln, Nebraska; Loretta was the daughter of John and Ada (Copton) Christman.

Loretta has lived off and on in the silver valley her entire life.

Loretta was a full time mother raising six children. She also worked as a waitress and cook at the Silver Corner. She had also worked for the South Dakota Developmental Center.

Loretta enjoyed spending her free time reading, crocheting, playing solitaire, camping and hot tubbing. Loretta truly loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them.

Loretta was married to Ted North, her life companion of 27 years.

Loretta is survived by; Six children Michael (Rosalie) North, of Smelterville, Idaho, Scott (Dawno) North, of Spokane, Washington, Richard North, of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Cory (Jennifer) North, Smelterville, Idaho, John (Fauna) North, Cataldo, Idaho and Misty North, of Redfield, South Dakota. She is also survived by four brothers David Christman, Larry Christman, John Christman and Kyle Christman; two sisters Terry Christensen and Peggy Kellar. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Loretta was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Russell.

Cremation will be held and Memorial Services will be held on Monday, July 21, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. at the Kellogg Funeral Chapel of Kellogg.
