Lorene Lawless

Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother, Lorene Francis Lawless, 92, of Pinehurst, Idaho, passed away October 17, 2013 at the family home of Pinehurst. She was born January 3, 1921 at McCloud, Oklahoma; Lorene was the daughter of Chester H. and Nina J. (Thompson) Thrasher.

Lorene attended and graduated from high school in McCloud, Oklahoma.

In her early years, Lorene had supported the WW II war effort by working in a production plant. In later years she had served as a waitress for several restaurants in the Silver Valley.

Lorene married Robert M. Lawless on March 24, 2002 at Kellogg.

Lorene was a member of the Order of Easter Star Shoshone Chapter #10 of Wallace. Lorene loved and enjoyed her family, knitting and crafts. She had a very strong faith in the Lord. Lorene was loved by many and will be missed by all.

Lorene is survived by her husband Robert M. Lawless of the family home of Pinehurst; her daughter June Thomas of Tulsa, Oklahoma; her son Ray Dunn of Newbritian, Indiana; a daughter Joyce Pennington of Cataldo, Idaho and a son Robert C. Lawless of Smelterville; a daughter Shirley Walton of Salem, Oregon; her grandchildren Donna and Diane of Oklahoma, Stacy Bryan of California, Barbara Pennington of Cataldo, Mary Sinohui of Nevada and Betty Kilburn of Livingston, Montana; thirty-four great-grandchildren and seventeen great-great grandchildren. Lorene was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter Caroline Powell.

Lorene will be laid to rest at the Washington Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Medical Lake, Washington. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
