Lois Evelyn Boje, 90, of Pinehurst, Idaho, passed away on May 17, 2017 at her home in Pinehurst. She was born on June 28, 1926 in Hazelton, Idaho; Lois was the daughter of Glen and Nettie (Schumacker) Morton.
Lois graduated from high school in 1944. She went on to attend Whitworth College where she studied business. She married Charles Street and they lived on a ranch in Malin, Oregon and had three sons, Bob, Willie, and Andy. Lois then moved to Pomeroy, Washington with her sons and while working at the local grocery store and steak house she met and married Christopher Baden and they had a daughter, Christine. They lived on a ranch and raised their children there until they moved to Spirit Lake, Idaho in 1970. She then met and married Jim Shadle and they moved to the Silver Valley in 1992. After the flood in 1996 they decided to move back to Spirit Lake. She lived there until 2000 when she met and married Vern Boje. They moved to Blanchad and lived there until  2004 when the moved to Squime, Washington; they moved to the Silver Valley in 2009 to be close to Lois’s daughter. After Vern passed, Lois remained with her daughter in the family home in Pinehurst.
Lois worked as a cook, grocery store clerk, she owned two businesses, farmed, and raised her children.
Lois was a member of the Elks, Grange and Eastern Star in Pomeroy, Washington; American Legion, Lions Club, and Eastern Star; and Habitat of Humanity in the Silver Valley.
Lois loved to travel; she made many trips to the Oregon Coast and all of the Western Coast. The ocean was one of her favorite places to go. She also made 3 round trips with her husband Jim Shadle across the United States and said it was the adventure of a lifetime. Lois also enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating and swimming, mushrooming, camping, gardening, taking walks in the woods and she was an animal lover.
Lois was a loving person that saw the good in all. She was well loved by her family and friends. Her favorite saying is that she has been blessed to have a life with so much love in it and to have a loving and supportive family. She will be missed and by the blessing of God we will meet again.
Lois is survived by her children, her sons Bob, Willie and Andy Street; and her daughter Christine Fulton; her step children Susan, Peggy, Sam and James Shadle. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. Lois was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Ester Mikler, and her four husbands.
