Lila Crowder

Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, Lila “Babe” B. Crowder, 78, of Pinehurst, Idaho, passed away August 30, 2014 at her home of Pinehurst. She was born April 26, 1936 in Hamilton, Montana; Babe was the daughter of Ferd and Nada (Wickstrom) Padula.

Lila attended schools in Silver King and Kellogg. She attended Nursing School in Missoula, Montana and graduated in November of 1971, with a Nursing degree as an L.P.N.

Babe married Doyle Crowder in March of 1955 in Silver King; Doyle passed away in April of 2013.

Lila spent her nursing career as an L.P.N. in Convalescent Homes for the elderly. She had worked at the Wayside Convalescent Care Facility of Missoula, Montana for twenty plus years, before retiring in 1991. After retiring, she continued in home health care in Missoula.

Babe loved and enjoyed her family, going to movies, eating out at different restaurants, walking and puzzles.

Babe is survived by one daughter Terri (Bill) McCorkle of Pine Creek; five grandchildren Chad McCorkle, Nikki Hill, Chelsea Chafee, Chance Crowder and Rain Crowder; five great-grandchildren Kennedy and Wyatt McCorkle, Darian, Kylah and Kaadyn Hill; two brothers Loren Padula of Kellogg, Idaho and Mike Padula of Post Falls, Idaho; her dear friend Dee House of Spokane Valley, Washington; she is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Babe was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Doyle Crowder, two sons Bob and Jim Crowder and four sisters Allene, Laele, Ferdina and Luella.

Memorial Services will be held on Friday, September 5, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at the Kellogg Funeral Chapel of Kellogg with Pastor Tim Remington officiating. A potluck reception and a gathering of family and friends, will be held at the home of Terri and Bill McCorkle following services.

The family suggests that memorials may be made to the Shoshone Humane Society, P.O. Box 1005, Kellogg, Idaho 83837 or to the Disabled American Veterans Program, 2536 W. Falling Star Loop, Post Falls, Idaho 83854-9808.
