Lewis Doty

Lewis “Lewie” Joel Doty, 61, of Wallace, Idaho, passed away July 14, 2014 as a result of a weather-related motorcycle accident. He was born July 6, 1953 in Minneapolis, Minnesota; Lewie was the son of Joel and Debbie (Stead) Doty.

Lewie attended and graduated from the Clackamas High School of Clackamas Oregon.

Lewie moved to the Silver Valley in 2000 from Portland, Oregon. He moved to Montana four years ago and most recently moved back to the Silver Valley.

Lewie was an auto body repairman and was presently working at Perfection Autobody of Pinehurst, Idaho.

Lewie loved and enjoyed riding his motorcycle and hunting. He loved the City of Wallace and the people residing there, as well as, the people of Wallace loved Lewie and will miss him very much..

Lewie is survived by his son James (Stefanie) Doty of Osburn, Idaho; two grandchildren Hailey and Jaden Doty of Osburn; two brothers Hugh Doty of Kalispell, Montana and Grant Doty of Milwaukee, Oregon; one sister Lynn Scheibner of Welches, Oregon; Lewie’s companion Diana Thompson; he is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Celebration of Lewie’s Life will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2014, at 2:00 P.M. at the City Limits Pub of Wallace; everyone is welcome.

The family suggests that memorials may be made to the Wallace School District, 405- Seventh Street Wallace, Idaho 83873.
