Leland “Lee” Clair Pehan, 77, of Osburn, Idaho, passed away March 24, 2014 at the Silver Wood Good Samaritan of Silverton. He was born August 7, 1936 in Bonners Ferry, Idaho; Lee was the son of Clair and Corene (Mayer) Pehan.
Lee attended and graduated from the Mullan High School of Mullan.
Lee married Carol Chilson in 1960 in Burke; Carol preceded him in death.
Lee was a mine mechanic and had worked at the Star Mine, the Lucky Friday mine and the Rosebud mine of the Hecla Mining Company.
Lee had served as a coach for Little League baseball for seventeen years. He loved and enjoyed spending time with his family, playing softball, camping and fishing.
Lee is survived by five children Kyle (Shelley) Pehan of Mullan, Idaho, Norma (Ken) Fischer of Spokane Valley, Washington, Irene (Tom) Carpenter of Twentynine Palms, California, Teresa (Brian) Yount of Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho and Ed (Alan) Pehan of Moscow, Idaho; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; his sisters Rita (Bernie) Welter of Post Falls, Idaho and Penny (Ron) Southerly of Spokane, Washington; Lee is also survived by his beloved dog Jake. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Carol.
Cremation was held and private family services will be held.
