Lela Church

Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother and sister, Lela Belle Church, 93, of Pinehurst, Idaho, passed away June 22, 2015 at Pacifica of Pinehurst. She was born March 1, 1922 in Neosho, Missouri; Lela was the daughter of Oliver and Florence (Gary) Maness.

Lela married Luther W. Church, Sr. on December 2, 1951 in Superior, Montana; Luther Sr. passed away on May 25, 2009.

Lela was a homemaker. She was a member of a Silver Valley Mixed Bowling League and had been a member of the Pinehurst Seniors. Lela loved and enjoyed her family, bowling, fishing for salmon, camping and quilting.

Lela is survived by five children Luther (Lorrie) Church, Jr. of Osburn, Idaho, Karen (Vic) Troutman of Hayden Lake, Idaho, Garry Dodge of Osburn, Idaho, Ethel Carter of Sandpoint, Idaho and Melvin (Mary) Church of Aloha, Oregon; twenty-five grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; one brother Harold Maness of Georgia; she is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Lela was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Luther Church, Sr. and four daughters Martha, Beverly, Florence and Marilyn Joyce.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, June 26, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at the Kellogg Funeral Chapel of Kellogg with Pastor Gene Jacobs officiating; a reception will be held at the Real Life Ministries of Pinehurst following services. Interment will be held at the Shoshone Memorial Gardens of Pinehurst.

The family suggests that memorials may be made to the charity of the Donor’s choice.
