Beloved father, grandfather and brother, Lee Roy “Casey” Hoffman, of Kellogg, Idaho, passed away May 13, 2015 at Kootenai Medical Center in Coeur d‘Alene, Idaho. He was born February 4, 1931 in Wardner, Idaho. Casey was the son of Roy and Winona (Elliot) Hoffman.
He attended school in Wardner and lived in the Silver Valley most of his life. Casey served in the U.S. Army and the National Guard. He was held as a prisoner of war during the Korean War and was a recipient of the Bronze Star. Casey was the #1 Hoistman at Bunker Hill Mine, he also spent time working as a police officer in Los Angeles, California.
Casey was married to Carol (Williams) Hoffman for nearly 34 years.
He was an avid outdoorsman; Casey loved fishing and hunting and he was a “Master of Tinkering”.
He is survived by his two children, Ann Guier (Marvin) of Silverton, Idaho and Travis (Michelle) Williams of Frenchtown, Montana; two grandchildren, Saige and Dylan Williams; one brother Earnie (Darlene) Hoffman; and one sister Mary (Red) Stalsworth. Casey is preceded in death by his parents, beloved wife, and brothers Elliot “Mike”, Arthur “Art”, and Charles “Curt” Hoffman.
Cremation will take place and a private family celebration of life will be held at a later date.
