Beloved mother, grandmother and sister, Leatrice Flory, 74, of Wardner, Idaho passed away on January 8, 2016 at her home in Wardner. She was born on October 30, 1941 in Hazen, North Dakota; Leatrice was the daughter of Herbert and Pauline (Knoll) Christmann.
Leatrice grew up in North Dakota and Kellogg. She graduated from Kellogg High School in 1960. Leatrice was united in marriage to Larry Flory on June 25, 1961 at the United Chuch in Kellogg.
Leatrice worked as the head cook at Sunnyside Elementary prior to her retirement. She enjoyed quilting, baking, cooking, camping and collecting firewood. Leatrice volunteered many hours with the Kellogg Elks and was a past Elk of the year.
Leatrice is survived by her two daughters, Donna Flory of Kellogg and Cheryl Flory of Osburn; one son Gregg Flory and his companion Tana Chaffin of Kellogg; four grandchildren Ryan Flory of Coeur d’Alene, Michael Flory of Smelterville, and James and John Montano of Boise; five brothers, Ray Fox of Spokane, Washington, Melvin (Joan) Christmann of Kellogg, Glen (Carol) Christmann of Smelterville, Dean Christmann of Osburn, Allen (Diane) Christmann of Montana; and one sister, Doris (Dale) Wickam of Osburn. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Leatrice is preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Larry; her brothers Bruce and Elmer Christmann and her sister Selma Curtis.
A memorial service will be held for Leatrice on Saturday, January 23, 2016, 1:00P.M. at Silver Valley Worship Center in Smelterville with Pastor Corey Berti officiating. A potluck reception and gathering of family and friends will be held downstairs at the Kellogg Elks following services.
