Lawrence “Larry” Raymond Lloyd, 59, of Kellogg, Idaho passed away at his home in Kellogg on June 24, 2015. He was born on November 11, 1955 Champagne, Illinois. Larry was the son of Raymond Lawrence Petty and Donna Mae Violet Giesbrecht.
Larry lived in the Silver Valley for the past 18 years. He spent time living in many other places including San Francisco, California and Nevada.
Larry was Buddhist and recently became an ordained minister. He loved fishing and taking care of his step grandson, Luke. Larry also enjoyed listening to his police scanner and knowing what was going on in the Valley. Larry was a free spirit who traveled all around the country in his younger years; he had a heart of gold and made many lifelong friends. He will be sorely missed.
Larry is survived by his brother Rick (Fay) Lloyd of Kellogg; two sisters, Debbie (Jack) North of Kellogg and Penelope Meyers of Smelterville; his ex-wife and dear friend, Kathleen Best; step son Jerry, step daughter Katie and step grandson Luke, all of Kellogg. Larry is also survived my many nieces and nephews and friends.
A Celebration of Larry’s life and gathering of family and friends will be held on Sunday, June 28, 2015, 4pm at Kellogg City Park. This will be a potluck and everyone is welcome.
