Larry Allen Peterson, 61

Larry Allen Peterson of Pinehurst, Idaho passed away March 13, 2016 at his home. Larry was the beloved son of Philip and Rosalie (Carlson) Peterson.

Larry grew up in the Silver Valley where he graduated from Kellogg High School with the class of 1972.                       .

Larry went to work in the mines quickly after graduating. He worked in mines in Nevada, Montana and here in the Silver Valley. He retired in 2015 from the Corp Mine. Larry had a great wealth of mining knowledge and a passion for it. He also spent 7 years on the road as a long haul truck driver.

In his free time Larry enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family and friends. He was an avid rock collector. He loved spending time outdoors from white water rafting to skiing.

Larry is survived by his mother Rosalie Peterson of Kellogg, Idaho; his sister Marla VanHoose of Libby, Montana; his nephew Christopher VanHoose also of Libby, Montana; his nieces Jennifer VanHoose of Billings, Montana and Ashley VanHoose of Moscow, Idaho; his great nephews Kobe French, Jordan VanHoose and Aiden VanHoose; his great niece Madison French. He leaves behind many friends.

Cremation will take place and a celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
