Beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, Larry Lee Flory, 78, of Wardner, Idaho passed away on October 2, 2015 at his home in Wardner. He was born on August 4, 1937 in Kellogg, Idaho. Larry was the son of Edwin and Addie Belle (Robinson) Flory.
Larry grew up and attended school in Bonner’s Ferry. He moved to Kellogg from Bonner’s Ferry in 1958. Larry married Leatrice (Christmann) June 25, 1961 in Kellogg.
Larry was an underground miner for all of his life and also spent some time working in construction. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
He enjoyed tinkering, building things and camping. He also loved fishing and was an avid reader of western novels. Larry enjoyed spending time with family and especially his grandchildren.
He was member of the Wardner Industrial Union. Larry was a member of the Kellogg Elks and a past member of the year.
Larry is survived by his beloved wife of over 54 years, Leatrice; two daughters, Donna Flory of Kellogg and Cheryl Flory of Osburn; one son, Gregg (Tana) Flory of Kellogg; four grandchildren, Ryan Flory of Coeur d’ Alene, Michael Flory of Smelterville, and James and John Montano of Boise; one brother, Doug Flory of Bonner’s Ferry. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Larry is preceded in death by his parents and his step-father James Andrews.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday October 10th 2015 2 P.M. at the Silver Valley Worship Center of Smelterville, Idaho with Pastor Corey Berti officiating. A potluck reception and a gathering of family and friends will be held downstairs at the Kellogg Elks following services.
