Kathryn Oeleis

Our devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, Kathryn Diane Oeleis, of Osburn, Idaho, lost her battle with cancer May 15, 2015, at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, Washington. Kathy was born June 22, 1948 in Aurora, Nebraska. She was the daughter of Terry and Opal (Arnett) Ackerman.

Kathy was raised in the small town of Jordan Valley, Oregon and graduated from Jordan Valley High. She moved to the Silver Valley when she married the love of her life, Donald Oeleis in 1968.

Kathy served as the dispatch secretary and trainer for the Kellogg School District and was very committed to the safe transport of our area’s children for many years.

Kathy is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Don; two daughters Shonna (Dan) Howe and Michelle (David) Tryon; four granddaughters, 3 grandsons and one great grandson. She is also survived by three brothers and one sister. Kathy is preceded in death by her parents.

A private gathering for family and very close friends was held on May 17th at her request.
