Joyce Bourgeois

Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, Joyce Bourgeois, 80, of Pine Creek, Idaho, passed away February 6, 2015 at Shoshone Medical Center of Kellogg. She was born August 22, 1934 in Wray, Colorado; Joyce was the daughter of Seigle and Elsie (Outhet) Eastin.

Joyce moved to the Silver Valley in 1960 from Sandpoint, Idaho.

In 1951 Joyce was united in marriage to Ray Hill. They later divorced. She then went on to meet Bernie Bourgeois who she married on December 7th 1963.

Joyce and Bernie owned and operated the Pine Creek Tavern from May of 1965 to June of 1977.

Joyce loved and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was an excellent seamstress; she also enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting and creating just about anything. She also was an avid reader and enjoyed listening to music by Elvis Presley.

Joyce is survived by her beloved husband of fifty-one years Bernie Bourgeois; four children, Steve Hill of Packwood, Washington, Rick (Lyn) Hill of Lynnwood, Washington, Dorothy (Jaysen) Mcvay of Wardner, Idaho and Beezer (Jessica) Bourgeois of Pine Creek, Idaho; and her brother Del (Donna) Eastin. Joyce is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, her son Don Hill and brother JD Eastin.

Cremation will be held. The family suggest that donation in Joyce’s memory may be made out to the Pinehurst/Kingston Lions Club, 106 Church Street, Pinehurst, Idaho 83850 or the American Lung Association 822 John St, Seattle, WA 98109.
